The Master programme “ICT for Development and Social Good” presents a predominantly online-based approach, complemented by residential Crash Courses held at the Luigi Einaudi Campus at the University of Turin. Leveraging the educational methodologies developed by ImpactSkills, our program offers live webinars (audio-video) and interactive web training (web-lab). These innovative techniques offer numerous advantages, allowing students to explore distant-learning digital technologies and significantly reducing costs associated with in-person learning activities.
By enabling real-time, face-to-face interactions between students and lecturers in the online classroom, we foster an engaging and dynamic learning environment.
Our ‘digital classrooms’ utilize webcams to facilitate visual contact among participants, encouraging seamless communication and questions via microphones or the classroom chat. Lecturers leverage the latest technology to conduct real-time simulation exercises, individually or in groups, forming a central element of each module.
Moreover, our online private platform serves as a vibrant community space where lecturers and students can interact, exchange insights, and build lasting networks. This platform remains active beyond the program’s completion, fostering a community of practitioners committed to collaboration beyond the Master programme. In addition, Master’s alumni can join also the Pool of Consultants, a group of ICT4D champions who are invited to apply on various initiatives and projects in ad-hoc basis.
