What type of Scholarships are available?
A Tuition Fee Scholarships, covering full and partial costs, are available for both learning models: the Full Master Model (which includes online lectures and residential crash courses based in Turin) and the Online-Only Master Model (which includes only online lectures). A Tuition Fee Scholarship for the Full Master Model will cover partial costs of the tuition fee (over fifty percent of the total cost), up to 2.000€.
A Tuition Fee Scholarship for the Online-Only Master Model will cover the partial costs of the tuition fee (over fifty percent of the total cost), up to 1.000€. Everyone is eligible to apply for this scholarship model.
The candidates are required to apply only for one type of scholarship.
Requirements for scholarships
Candidates who wish to apply for A Tuition Fee Scholarship for the Full Master Model must have a Bachelor Degree from an accredited University.
Candidates who wish to apply for A Tuition Fee Scholarship for the Online-Only Master Model are not required to have a Bachelor Degree from an accredited University.
The scholarship amount is deducted from the tuition fee for the Master model which the awarded student is accepted into. This means that the scholarship will not be disbursed to the student.
The scholarship cannot be transferred to another programme at the University of Turin or another university.
The scholarship is valid only for studies starting on winter semester (January) 2024 and cannot be postponed.
All candidates who wish to apply for the scholarship must have an excellent knowledge of the English language (listening, spoken, and written).
Application instructions
All students who wish to apply for scholarships must follow the three-step process below:
STEP 1: PRE-MATRICULATION IN THE MASTER PROGRAMME
- This is the first obligatory step that only candidates for Full Master Model must accomplish successfully in order to be eligible for Scholarship. To do so, please visit the following website https://en.unito.it/studying-unito/enrolment-procedure/enrolment-continuing-education-programs-specialization-courses
- Then check section “Registration at University Portal“, and in the end of the text click “Portal registration instructions“.
- If you are holding an Italian citizenship, please read instructions under “Prospective students of age with Italian citizenship” and complete the registration.Whereas, if you are not holding an Italian citizenship, please read instructions under “Prospective minor students, students not holding Italian citizenship, companies” and complete the registration.
- In the end of registration you should receive an email to login at MyUnito portal of the University of Turin with username given to you and the password that you used for registration.
- The last step is to find the pre-enrolment section, add all your data, including BA degree, and after accomploishment of this process you will receive a PDF document from the portal which states that your pre-matriculation was successful. Please, save the PDF as it will serve for the next steps.
STEP 2: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM (ONLINE)

STEP 3: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS VIA EMAIL
Now that you have your pre-matriculation document, you completed the application form online, you must submit the following documents via email:
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum three pages);
- Cover Letter (maximum one page);
- A copy of the Personal document (i.e. Passport, Identity Card, etc.);
- A copy of the Bachelor Degree from an accredited university (required only for candidates who apply for the Tuition Fee Scholarship – Full Master Model).
NOTE: If the degree is issued in English, French or Spanish languages, the official translation into Italian language is not required. But, if the degree is issued in any other language, you must submit the official translation of your degree in Italian language. - A copy of the Transcript of Records, clearly stating the exams you have completed.

Other non-obligatory documents that candidates may submit to support their application are:
- English language certificates;
- Other educational certificates and/or diplomas;
- Recommendation Letters (no more than two).
All documents should be in .pdf or .jpeg versions and submitted at the following email: ict4dmaster@unito.it no later than 31 October 2023, 15:00 CET (Turin time)

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, professional experience, and other relevant criteria approved by the Scientific Committee of the Master programme.
Selection process
The ranking process is based on academic excellence, professional experience, and other criteria approved by the Scientific Committee of the Master programme. For this selection process, the Scientific Committee will take an even distribution according to gender and geographical locations into consideration. Only candidates who will be shortlisted will be invited to the interview.

Deadline & Notification
The deadline to submit your application for scholarship is 31 October, 2023 (15:00 CET/Turin time).
Applicants will be notified of the result of their scholarship application individually by e-mail to the address that was given on the application form. Notification will be sent no later than 10 November 2023. If the applicant accepts the scholarship and accepts the offer of admission at Master programme “ICT for Development and Social Good”, an email with further instructions for official matriculation will be sent.

Disbursement
When applicants have been awarded and accepted a scholarship, the amount awarded will be deducted from the tuition fee invoice accordingly. No money will be disbursed to the scholarship holder personally. Please note that the Tuition Fee Scholarships do not cover living costs (including travel costs) during crash courses or online lectures. The Scholarships only cover tuition fees, depending on the model you have been awarded. Travel, living and other expenses must be covered by other means of funding.
Certificate of scholarship
When awarded a scholarship, information regarding the scholarship is clearly stated on the invoice for the tuition fee. The scholarship amount is deducted from the tuition fee, and the tuition fee invoice is your certificate of the scholarship. No separate certificate will be provided.
